L'islande, terre à la fois désolée et convoitée

Voyage en terre islandaise, au coeur des fjords de l'Ouest

Entre 2018 et 2019, l’occasion de prendre part à l’histoire s’est présentée. Accueillie à la ferme « Innri-Múli » dans les fjords de l’Ouest, j’ai adopté le rythme islandais et accompagné la famille lors des smalas.

Durant les mois de Septembre et d’Octobre se déroule la « Smala », rite de transhumance traditionnel au pays.


Cet usage consiste à rapatrier jusqu’à la ferme les moutons ayant pâturé tout l’été dans les montagnes environnantes. C’est un évènement intergénérationnel qui réunit les voisins, les étrangers, les familles, toute personne ayant la volonté de participer.

Northern Wanderer incarne une expérience paradoxalement solitaire et solidaire.

Tel un esprit vagabond, j’ai été témoin de ces scènes de vie ; arpentant ces vastes étendues, observant jusqu’à être actrice de cette pièce, plongeant dans un quotidien devenu mien. Cette série marque le début d’une errance sans limite, ponctuée de souvenirs figés, de liens tissés au gré des jours.


L’idée persiste : celle de prendre le temps de vivre l’instant.
